Functie omschrijving

The Retail Manager acts as the main support for the Deputy Retail Director and Retail Director in the co-ordination, planning and development of the retail management activities and initiatives of the company with the objective of improving store sales, in-store merchandising and presentation, customer services and sales, and inventory turnover. This position must have a good understanding of the national market and experience with high-end fashion brands and/or large multi-national clothing accessory brands to bring brands up to top quality status.

Ensure to achieve and set sales targets, retail strategy and provides an excellent customer experience through:

•Developing excellent relationships that are conducive to maximizing sales and business opportunities
•Maintaining and developing personal knowledge and expertise to provide guidance to store managers and enhance profitability
•Being responsible for accurate and timely management information, with supporting analysis, through weekly reporting to Retail Director and/or Deputy Retail Director
•Liaising effectively with leasing and operating teams in providing the support needed to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction, compliance with all legal requirements and successful operational coordination
•Developing targeted training seminars with the People Business Partner / Training Manager for staff development and career enhancement
•Coordinating and daily management of staff, programmes and activities to achieve optimum inventory levels and merchandise selection at all times
•Providing input to implement the company's strategy through analysis of fashion trends, customer behaviors and key seasonal dates
•Promoting the company's position within the local community

BACKGROUND & SKILLS:

•Proven experience as Area Manager/Country Manager within a fast-paced international retail business (luxury, fast fashion)
•Developed analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude
•Good decision making capabilities
•Strong leadership and team building skills, and well-developed and articulated communication skills
•Interact and liaise across all levels of the business
•Fluent in English and Dutch, any other European language is considered a plus
