For one of our clients we are looking for an European Merchandising Manager responsible for selecting and creating the European assortment in cooperation with Global Design that will ensure the optimal product mix needed to fulfill our Consumer needs. You will implement a competitive pricing strategy whilst achieving mutually agreed margin expectations. You are the voice of European product needs and will provide the global design team with up to date consumer and competition analyses.

Based in Hilversum, (office&showroom), you will own, develop and execute strategies and processes to create and run the merchandising process. This role will report into the European Merchandising Director as well as the European Brand Director.


Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the brand to be assigned in accordance with the strategy laid out by the European Merchandising Director.
Willingness to take on new Brands in the future if needed
Create seasonal line plan on style color level that meets the European market demands. Maintain up to date information throughout the season cycle
Create seasonal Directed Assortments per channel and level segmentation
Create seasonal initial line plan forecast in line with financial expectations and long terms goals
Ensure pricing is implemented on a style, color level in accordance with margin expectations as well as market parameters
Ensure all necessary parameters to be able to Go To Market are set up such as but not limited to relevant UPC codes, pre pack ratios, size curves, wholesale pricing, suggested retail pricing.
Ensure the European Consumer needs are met
Ensure the European Accounts needs are met
Work close with Demand Planning/Buying to ensure coverage goals are met
Set up process with Brand Director and Sales Department to receive input in the style selection and Consumer/Account insights
Assist to place on time seasonal style color buy with the global HQ
Track any and all updates once line plan is selected till ready to be shipped
Maintain all communication with global regarding line planning
Assist to create and track seasonal drop and add list
Ensure proper seasonal handover to Demand Planning/Buying department
Continuously strive to improve and innovate the brand's processes


Required Qualifications/Experience:
Relevant merchandising capabilities
Experience and knowledge of retail fluency and account profitability models to understand the industry.
Experience and track record of success working with internal and external stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
Able to influence both cross functionally and vertically within the industry and marketplace and negotiate to obtain the best results for the brand
Fluent in English
Min. Bachelor or higher. Can be compensated by relevant work experience
Willingness to go the extra mile when needed, understanding that global communication can be on occasions outside normal office timelines
